UCC at the United Nations

Religious groups are an important voice for expansive, intentional, and inclusive civil society participation in UN decision-making. Engagement with the United Nations and its various agencies is an important part of our vision to create a just world for all.

Since 1998, the United Church of Christ has been accredited as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). This status allows our voices to be heard at the United Nations on matters of concern, such as decolonization, gender equality, and sustainability, as we create a world with justice for all.

Faith leaders and advocates gather July 11, 2023 for a side event organized by the UCC and interfaith partners to discuss the impact of global issues on children.
